How was your X'mas?
Hope you have an enjoyable one with your loved ones..

I had an enjoyable time at my aunt's place.. :)
And received my first surprised gift.

I'm doing scrapbooking for 2years now? And this is the first time I received a handmade gift! I have always been making gifts for friends, for commissioned projects.. I was certainly surprised and very very very happy to receive it! :))))) I spent most of d time looking at it.. The feeling is so great and so warm to receive a handmade gift!

Uniquely A to Z

Hihi,

How was your last weekend?

I had a great time! I woke up in the morning to see BOGO (buy one get one free!) sale at the LSS! How great was that? I wanted to get some x'mas goodies and with BOGO, this is just the right time for me to grab some (ok, a lot) of goodies! In the shop, I met a lot of familiar faces, its the anniversary sale and lots of things are going around in the store! Just when I was making payment, the staff was preparing for the first hourly draw and I made it in time!

Let me show you the prize first...

I was the last to put my name in before they close the lid. And I thought, well, I shall just stay on to see my luck~! And when the name was called, I was caught in my mouth! I WON it! My name was called for the first hour draw and I won the prize!!

I was definitely not expecting this and I am very glad I made that trip down to the LSS store! It sure pays off to be early in the shop! I will share more on how I intend to scrap with those goodies above soon...

Ok. Back to the scrapping front:

Still remember this letter "R" that I did for a special lady a while ago?

I must say, I love it myself! Since then, I couldn't stop thinking of ideas to design the alphabets...

And with some support from my friends, I did the following:

I went to Bangkok sometime and bought some cosmetic pouches.

Previously, the entire department was given some mega-size paper clips as part of the people engagement. 

Being "me", I took the clip, add some scrapbooking stuffs, and here it is:

Hmmm.... Where should I start?

Should I start with the wedding stuffs I did for my friend recently?

To me, wedding is a sacred thing. And I truely believe the spirit of wedded couple and the vows. Yes, divorce rates in SG is getting higher, but I'm a true and strong believer of the spirit of it.

Enough of my craps. Let's get to it!

It's a whole set of ang pao box, 3 guest books (with 1 being a continuity stretch) and a ring pillow.
The theme is actually candylicious!

Neglected

Helllllloooooowwwwwwww....... Is anyone there?

Wow, since my last post, its been a loooooooooong time since I updated here. My sincere apologies.

Some friends out there ask me have I lost interest in scrapbooking? Its been a while since they hear from me... No, my interest in scrapbooking is still growing strong and ever...

To me, scrapbooking is not just a hobby. Its more than that.

If you know me outside, you will know the kind of work that I'm doing is a BIG contrast to art or creativity. Outside, I'm performing functions similar to an auditor for vendors outside the Bank. Art or creativity is not required for my daily work function.. hahahaha...

I love going home after a stressful day, to scrap. My home and particularly my room is my haven where I can really relax after a stressful day and the best part of it, I get to divert my stress levels to scrap. Sometimes I find it funny, such that everytime I had a bad or even a long day at work, I will spend even more hours scrapping (not that the long hours at work is not taking its toll on me yet), the more satisfied I get after that.

Ok, enough of my crap.

Yes, I have been scrapping all these while even though I don't blog. I just don't have the time to blog. :(  I have some posts scheduled up with pictures (definitely!) and less of my crap (most definitely!) and STAY TUNED!

Wedding Gift

Hihi,

Recently, I was tasked to make a wedding gift.

I received the sms when I was preparing for the road trip to KL. My bf's got work there and I'm just "extra baggage" (aka tagging along / freeloader)...

I was frantic and scared if I can get it on time? Its a big event and I can't can't can't can't spoil it for them. I need to have the idea out. But I'm really happy that by the time I'm coming back down to SG, I got the idea ringing in my head.

Love Forever

Do you know that this is on a chopping board?

I must say this is inspired by Pinky, a very nice and talented lady. I chanced upon one of her works - Victoria Board at AR. I scrap-lift this from her piece.

If you are wondering why would you use a chopping board? The story is like this: Previously I had a design piece on this chopping board for Aris. And over time, he grew out of it and requested me to "re-do" another piece for him. I was wondering for a long while what to do with this. The idea came about after I chanced upon Pinky's Victoria Board at AR, and then you know how the story goes... ... ...

Once upon a sketch

Hihi,

This is the first time I participated in a challenge outside Singapore and definitely my second time participating in a scrapbook challenge.

I am not looking at winning any prize simply coz my standards of scrapbooking are so so so so so so mediocre as compared to all the experts and talented scrappers out there.
But I had great fun designing this.

Part of the challenge, we are required to follow this sketch:

My take on this challenge is to use a 7" x 7" canvas piece.

This is a box, fully hand-made using canvas. Can you believe it?

The theme of the box is " I'm a material girl ".
Inside the box is a mini album showing some of my "treasured buys" like bags, exquisite jewelry items etc. This is perfect to keep personal journals as well as short notes.

This will be a very short post to update you what I am working on this weekend...

I will be working on a gift for a nice lady.

This lady has been a big help to boost my confidence.

Previously, I do not think too highly of my handmade items. This lady helped me along and gave me the confidence. Her birthday is coming and I'm preparing a gift for her, from the bottom of my heart.

I will update you what I came up with, once it's done.

Decorated Frame

Hihi...

Weekend is just around the corner. What do you have in mind?  

Some time ago, I got myself a white photo frame. So I took out my paints to ink around the frame. Sitting in front of my old stash of girls paperie items, bags of new products, also from girls paperie, I decided to combine both and ta-dah!

This is the "new look" I gave the white photo frame.

Supplies used: MM- buttercup colour, TA glimmer Glaze, flowers and ribbon - own stash, tag, trinket key, girls paperie-vintage whimsy pp and die cut box, prima pearls, hambly screen prints, pink paislee butterfly garden and K&C stickers
